Hi Barbara,

I am the co-director of the Shoshone Summer Camp, a six week academic program (with a strong outdoor skills component) in Wapiti, Wyoming for bright dyslexic students. We are located on a beautiful ranch near Yellowstone National Park. We provide students with a full academic program including 1:1 reading tutorial (Orton-Gillingham Approach), small group writing class, art, and structured study hall. Students have the opportunity to participate in many wonderful activities after school, in the evenings, and on weekends. Some of our activities include hiking, trout fishing, canoeing, camping, and rock climbing. We have a website that describes the program in more detail. We also have many pictures on line from last summer.

Please visit our website: www.shoshonesummer.com

Let me know if you have any questions.

Summer camps for dyslexic students sounds great! I have a dyslexic son. The problem comes in the area of the usually prohibitive costs, especially when you have more than one kid.

Please write to me at [email protected] and we can discuss scholorship possibilities. We have provided scholarships of up to $2,000.

Thank you.
